Pigeon Peru scales Toubkal : May 2012

Ziggy Pindoria

Thank you whole heartedly for organising an amazing trip.
As a sole female traveller I was well looked after and my safety and security the priority of the whole trip. Ahmed and Hussain my guide were both wonderful in ensuring that I had the experience that I was looking for. Hussain was always cheerful, friendly and an amazing cook. The food was cooked fresh and tasted like nothing I have ever tasted before and there was always plenty of it! He and Ahmed were both full of local knowledge and well experienced to guide me around the mountains. The accommodation organised throughout the five day trek was of a high level of cleanliness, comfort and aesthetically pleasing, adding to the whole experience.

The entire five days I was out in the mountains were well organised, I was advised of the weather conditions and the routes we would be taking, and advised on the best views and sites to see, I was never disappointed. It was amazing to encounter friendly and helpful locals and tourists on the way to the summit of Toubkal, a must if you have the time and ability to face the 3 and half hour climb from the refuge. The views on the way and from the top were amazing.

The trip provided for me the opportunity to unwind and recharge my mental batteries by being in touch with and surrounded by nature. It was amazing to wake to the sounds of singing birds and fall asleep to the gentle sounds of crackling log fires. I am already planning my trip back next year, this time to include the desert trek, and I would not have anyone else organise this trip for me - Ziggy
